Beyond What I See

  It’s strange to write words 

  Week after week

  71, 72, 73 

  The number climbs gradually 


  I sometimes feel

  that I don’t know if I 

  should keep it up


  Maybe if I

  change how I do it

  Maybe that

  could help


  Margins pushed

  as I avoid

  Timing means

  a very long day


  Why do I write?

  And put pictures as titles?

  I ask myself

  in dismay


  So many times, 

  I’ve almost quit

  This whole thing altogether


  But think!

  I’m investing

  in the future 

  with words, like seeds


  That I hope will grow

  some way

  Beyond what I can see

  Today

Why Wait to Celebrate?

  Why wait?

  To celebrate?

  77 posts! Done!


  Who wants to hold on

  until 100 of them are gone

  to declare it?


  It hasn’t been two years yet

  But I will celebrate now!

  20 months have almost passed

  A milestone, and how!


  I don’t need an exact multiple

  Of 12 or 25

  To take delight

  In that I write

  So, I invite

  me, to quite

  the celebration

  Truly!


  Ice cream for all!

  And chocolate in the mess hall!

  'Cause I’m starting this merrymaking early!
